Cactus- Prickly Pear
KAK-tus
Known for its flat, paddle-shaped pads and vibrant, colorful fruits called "tunas." Native to the Americas, it thrives in arid and semi-arid climates. The pads, which are covered in spines, can be eaten when properly prepared, and the fruit is often used in jellies, drinks, and candies. It's both a striking ornamental plant and a valuable source of food and water in desert regions.
