An iconic evergreen tree native to the southeastern United States, known for its sprawling, wide-spreading canopy and distinctive, gnarled branches. It typically grows to heights of 40 to 80 feet, though some specimens can reach even greater heights. The tree's glossy, dark green leaves are oval-shaped and leathery, with a wavy margin, and remain on the tree year-round. Live oak produces small acorns that are an important food source for wildlife. Renowned for its strength and longevity, live oak has been historically prized for shipbuilding and as a symbol of endurance and resilience in coastal regions. It's a cherished tree in landscapes and parks, providing shade and character to its surroundings.

Planting Instructions: Dig hole big enough to allow 12” of fill soil between root ball and the sides of the hole. Install the plant so that the top of the root ball is slightly higher than existing soil grade. Backfill with topsoil and water heavily to eliminate air pockets.
